What is Human Trafficking?

In it’s simplest form, human trafficking is broken down into 3 components:

  • Movement and recruitment by

  • Deception or coercion for

  • The purpose of Exploitation

Types of Human Trafficking

There are many forms of exploitation into which people can be trafficked. These include labour trafficking, sex trafficking, domestic servitude, forced criminality, forced marriage and organ harvesting.

Signs and Red Flags

There are signs and red flags that may be associated with someone who may be in a trafficking situation. These indicators do not prove that an individual has been trafficked but may assist in identifying that it may be a possibility that someone is being exploited.
