Hamilton Supports & Services
There are several programs (including those offered by HAHTC steering committee member agencies) within Hamilton and surrounding area that supports individuals who are either exiting trafficking or those considering leaving their situation.
Given that local resources can often change, we advise accessing the Canadian Human Trafficking Hotline’s Referral Directory for information on available resources.
The Hamilton Anti-Human Trafficking Coalition’s “Guide for Supporting Trafficked Persons” is a resource intended to provide information about what human trafficking is and how to best support those who have experienced trafficking. You can access the guide here.

If you suspect trafficking of a youth under the age of 18, please call Hamilton Child and Family Supports or Catholic Children’s Aid Society of Hamilton to make a report or request a non-identifying consult.
For youth under the age of 16, you have a duty to report a child in need of protection.

In Hamilton, the Hamilton Police Service's Victim Services Branch provides 24-hour emotional support and practical assistance to individuals victimized by crime or tragic circumstances, offering services like crisis intervention, referrals, and financial assistance. They can be reached at 905-546-4904.
It is important to note that there does not need to be a report to police/ongoing investigation in order to access Victim Services.
